I posted some pictures of our annual Christmas dinner on our office Facebook page. The comments we received were very flattering and funny. I do have comedians for patients. As they come in throughout the week, we were laughing so hard with flatteries and wisecracks. I think our group picture received the most “likes”. We really are a small family of sisters with Dr. Patel being the oldest, me the nerd, and of course the two younger ones are the pretty ones. We had a real fun dinner that night, talking about life and making fun of each other. I received the most bashing. It’s their only night to make fun of me without fear of losing their job. I made them stand everywhere to take pictures because I wanted to document our time together. I wanted memories of the fun we have outside the office. I wanted them to enjoy their time with each other as well and have it in print. We did take a few pictures but not enough. I was shy about having other patrons of the restaurant look at us. Center stage is not for me. I wanted to keep it on the down low. But the girls were fearless. They were taking pictures and enjoying the attention.
There were a few pictures that I really like. This is rare as I tend to over criticize myself in print. Therefore, of all the pictures, my favorite picture of the bunch was of my girls, Jessica and Tara. They looked so pretty and sexy. They were confident. I love seeing confident fearless females. I wish I had that attitude when I was younger. Unfortunately, I was more reserved. The problem could have been that I was hanging out with a group of beautiful smart women. They made me look like a wallflower. Only in years later did I understand it’s all about attitude. So, here’s to sassiness…Enjoy and be safe during your holiday celebration. Don’t forget to floss.
From the wallflower,
P.S. The picture that got made fun of the most was the one of my head tilting down. The wisecrackers were saying how pretty my forehead was. Do you think my forehead is pretty? Just kidding…
